Vodafone has launched a new subsidiary that will oversee its infrastructure in Spain.
According to El Economista, Vodafone Towers Spain will compete in the same market as Cellnex Telecom and Telxius and is a sister company to similar ones in the nine others that Vodafone operates in. I
ts aim is to manage the ownership, leasing and acquisition of any telecom infrastructure, as well as the provision of services to third parties through these networks, both fixed and wireless.
In addition, it is to provide the installation of equipment for the emission or reception of signals through telecommunications networks, as in the case of telephone antennas.
Vodafone Towers Spain was first announced on February 10, prior to the coronavirus pandemic. Set up a cost of €439 million, it is headed by María Blanca Ceña Fernández, Sergio Moneo Vega and Ana Díaz Cayetano.
