Almost one in five (18.8%) Polish internet users accessed Netflix via a browser last month.
According to data produced by Gemius/PBI and published by Wirtualne Media, this amounted to 5,378,819 people and put Netflix in first place among on demand services in the country.
Furthermore, Netflix beat its previous best record of 5.31 million real users, in December 2019.
Netflix, which had 82,501,317 opens among browser users in March, was followed by Vod.pl, player.pl and tvp.pl-vod.
Significantly, HBO Go, though in seventh place, saw its user total grow by 83.4% in the year to March.
All told, the eight leading VOD services in Poland had a combined total of 29.95 million users (without shared visibility) and 308.93 million opens in March.
Netflix was also the undisputed leader among mobile app users in March, with the 2,703,297 figure being 147.35 higher than in the corresponding month last year.
