Strong growth for ER-Telecom

April 8, 2020 09.46 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Russian cable operator ER-Telecom saw its revenues increase by 13% last year.

According to the company’s latest set of results, they amounted to R44,873 million (€545.8 million), of which R28,747 million were from B2C and the remainder from B2B services.

While the former figure was 9% higher than in 2018, the latter was up by 20%. The company’s OIBDA in 2019 amounted to R17,078 million, up 33% on a year earlier, with the margin being 38% (+6 percentage points).

Net profit was R2,644 million, an increase of 26% on the previous year.

Commenting on the results, Andrey Kuzyaev, president of ER-Telecom Holding, said: “The company is developing in full accordance with the approved strategy. In 2019, revenues in the B2C and B2B segments grew at a faster pace. Demand for our digital products has steadily increased. The main growth driver is the B2B segment. The company participates in the state program to eliminate the digital divide. We connect socially significant objects of the country to the internet, fully fulfilling our obligations”.
