The Ukrainian regulator National Council has announced a competition for 10 TV channels on the DVB-T2 (MPRG-4) multiplex MX-5.
In a statement, it says that it is to meet the digital TV needs of residents in six settlements in the Kyiv, Kirovograd and Chernihov regions.
It adds that the requirements include the placement of socially important programmes covering local topics, a volume of Ukrainian content to comply with current legislation and the inclusion of children’s programming.
Broadcasting should also not include the retransmission of other broadcasting services.
Applications will be accepted between May 8 and June 8, with the results of the competition announced by August 7.
