A1 Telekom Austria Group has chosen the advanced TV system from Belgian digital TV solutions provider Zappware for the launch of its streaming platform in multiple markets.
“For our TV proposition, Zappware’s award-winning Nexx 4.0 TV Platform allowed us to execute this single-brand strategy, through the roll out of A1 Xplore TV across our markets, covering our IPTV and DVB-C networks. The service was launched at A1 Bulgaria in November and now we launch in Austria,” said Alexander Kuchar, director technology and future services at A1 Telekom Austria.
A1 Xplore TV users can access personalised content on a variety of devices such as set-top boxes, mobile devices and the TV set via Google Chromecast.
The platform is open to third-party services that can be integrated into the user interface, enabling access to offers such as Amazon Prime Video, YouTube and YouTube Kids.
