Poland’s five-member National Media Council (RMN) has voted unanimously to dismiss TVP president Jacek Kurski from his post.
At the same time, reports Presserwis, President Andrzej Duda has signed off an amendment to the Subscription Act allocating PLN1.95 billion (€453.2 million) from the state budget to public media.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Kurski was dismissed by RMN in August 2016, having become president at the beginning of the year. However, he eventually stayed on in the post.
