An Italian court has removed restrictions that had been imposed on Sky, preventing it from buying exclusive content for its platform.
Last year the Comcast-owned broadcaster had the ban imposed on its steaming platform following a deal with rival Mediaset.
Italy’s competition regulator has imposed the restriction over fears a deal with Mediaset would further restrict competition in an area where Sky is already a significant force.
In a statement Sky Italia CEO Maximo Ibarra said he was satisfied with decision from the court.
