Serbia Broadband (SBB) has declared Nis the country’s sixth Giga city.
As of the beginning of this month it has joined Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica, Gornji Milanovac and Kragujevac in eventually making digital TV and broadband at up to 1Gbps available to all its customers.
According to SBB, the latest development forms part of its five-year, €300 million plan to digitise Serbia.
‘Free digitisation’ does not require customers to sign a new contract, incur any expense or switch to new packages.
The process will take place in stages across parts of the city and sees SBB’s Start package doubled to 120 channels, 32 of which are in HD.
