TiVo says its picked up a new customer for its intellectual property business within the social media sector.
Publishing its fourth quarter results, the company described the multi-year contract with the social media customer as “significant” and said it was its second customer in the area. TiVo has also renewed with Roku for its streaming platform and the TV manufacturer Panasonic.
Seven operators have now signed for the Android TV-based IPTV version of TiVo User Experience 4.
In December, TiVo announced plans to merge with Xperi Corporation, bolstering its IP business further.
On the consumer side TiVo has unveiled its Stream 4K product that was well received by the press during the Consumer Electronics Show in January. The $49 product is designed to allow consumers to discover and watch what they want, from a single platform.
TiVo’s 2019 revenues of $668.1 million were at the higher end of the company’s guidance.
