Dirk Wössner to leave Deutsche Telekom

February 12, 2020 23.13 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Dr Dirk Wössner, board member for Germany at Deutsche Telekom and managing director of Telekom Deutschland, will not renew his contract which expires on December 31, 2020.

Wössner will become CEO of a “fast-growing software company” from 2021, according to a statement by Deutsche Telekom. No further details were given.

The German telco’s supervisory board has initiated the search for a successor. As part of an orderly succession management process, interviews with suitable candidates will be conducted “with due calm and care”, according to Deutsche Telekom.
