Disney+ has made a major impact since it launched three months ago.
Since it launched in in the United States and four other countries, the new streaming service has reached 28.6 million subscribers. The number is ahead of the 25 million that had been predicted by Wall Street Analysts.
The figures were released as a new report from Goldmedia suggested Disney+ could severely disrupt the UK streaming market when it launches next month.
Disney has also made public numbers for its US subscription-video-on-demand service Hulu that account for a total of 30.4 million including 27.2 million for SVOD alone and 3.2 million for SVOD and live TV.
The numbers include wholesale deals where operators bundle Disney+ as part of an overall subscription.
