Bulgaria Sat, which was launched in 2017, plans to reach 65% of its capacity within two years.
Quoted by Capital, its executive director Maxim Zayakov added that it is currently in negotiations with companies from Greece, Belgium, Romania and Ukraine.
He also said that its capacity usage currently stands at 15%.
Bulgaria Sat’s existing clients are based in Serbia (Polaris Media), Germany and Iraq and according to Zayakov it will become economically viable once it exceeds 80% capacity within the next five years.
He also revealed that the satellite’s lifespan will be over 20 years thanks to the company saving fuel during the launch by using SpaceX.
Although Bulgaria Sat’s first and main client was the pay-TV operator Bulsatcom, the two companies ended their relationship in late 2019.
