Sky has announced a reshuffle of its senior management, owner Comcast sending a signal that it is planning further international expansion.
“As we align the markets more closely, making sure our overall product development capability and roadmaps are closer to the market operations and more aligned will be extremely important,” said chief executive Jeremy Darroch in a memo to staff sent Thursday.
Stephen van Rooyen, who currently runs the broadcaster’s UK operations will also have Germany and Italy to his responsibilities. The bosses of of Sky Italia and Sky Deutschland will now report to Mr Van Royen.
Andrea Zappia, who currently runs the two continental businesses has been named as CEO, New Markets and Businesses.
