The Walt Disney Company’s D2C and International segment has brought forward the launch date of Disney+ in Western Europe to March 24.
It has also confirmed the pricing of the streaming service at £5.99/€6.99 per month, or £59.99/€69.99 a year.
Disney+ will initially debut in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland on March 24, with other markets in Western Europe, including Belgium, the Nordics and Portugal, following in the summer.
Subscribers will be able to access Disney+ on nearly all major mobile and connected TV devices at launch, including gaming consoles, streaming media players, and smart TVs. They will be provided with high-quality and commercial-free viewing, up to four concurrent streams, unlimited downloads on up to ten devices, personalised recommendations, and the ability to set up to seven different profiles.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Disney+, which made its debut in November 2019, was initially set to launch in Western Europe on March 31.
