Britbox has named Will Harrison as managing director of its UK service.
Currently managing director of media investment company Ingenious Media, Harrison has also worked for Warner Bros, HBO Europe, A+E Networks, Disney and Turner.
Harrison will move to Britbox later this month, where he will over see the ITV-BBC streaming venture’s strategic and commercial performance.
“They have done a fantastic job in an incredibly short period of time. I’m excited at the growth ahead of us and look forward to helping BritBox move from a start-up to a well-established part of the British media landscape,” said Harrison.
Britbox has signed agreements with Freeview Play and YouView, in which the PSBs are leading partners, and the mobile network EE.
