The Ukrainian regulator National Council has fined the satellite channel Maksi-TV 25% of its licence fee and ordered it to bring its activities into line with current national legislation within a month.
In a statement, it says that fine, which amounts to UAH105,625.50 (€3,913), has been imposed following an unscheduled inspection to the Kiev offices of Nasha Praga in which it was found that the broadcaster had shown content that called for the overthrow of the constitutional order in Ukraine.
Further sanctions will be imposed on Maxi-TV if it fails to comply with the regulator’s ruling.
