Estonia’s leading cable operator Elisa has launched a new proprietary entertainment channel.
Known as Elisa telekanal, it features Elisa’s original episodes and clips, introducing Elisa Huub and video rental content. For the first time in Estonia, it also offers ‘slow TV’.
Commenting on the launch, Triin Lember, content buying specialist at Elisa, said: “The so-called slow TV, which originated in Scandinavia, has been making waves in the world for years. Elisa telekanal (viewers) can be relaxed in the future by watching kayak trips on the open sea and rivers, ferry trips to the islands of Estonia or cycling on beautiful West Estonian roads”.
More entertainment clips will be added to the channel in due course and in future it will also show broadcasts and recordings of selected sports and entertainment events.
Elisa telekanal is being offered free of charge to all Elisa cable customers.
