Love Nature has announced the launch of its premium 4K natural history channel on Antik Telecom in Slovakia.

Under the terms of the deal, which was brokered by Chiara McKee, VP, EMEA, Kids & Global Networks, Blue Ant Media, Antik Telecom subscribers will have access to Love Nature’s extensive library of original programming, which includes hundreds of hours of natural history content in 4K and HD on the channels’ linear and on-demand platforms. The channel will also be fully localized on Antik Telecom in Slovakia.

Vlastimil Lakatos, head of TV product management at Antik Telecom, said the channel provides “truly beautiful images”, while Ward Platt, CEO, Global Networks & Kids, Blue Ant Media, stated that “this deal significantly grows Love Nature’s footprint in Central Europe.

“Bringing the channel to Antik Telecom allows us to share our stunning natural history programming with even more wildlife and nature fans in Slovakia.”

The deal also follows the launch on Sky in August 2019 across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy, as part of a multi-year pan-European agreement. The channel is broadcast on Antik Giga fibre networks n 50fps, 3840x2160px resolution, HDR as part of Premium package. However, as part of a promotion it is also available in the Basic package until the end of this month.
