Ceska televize (CT) maintained its position as the leading broadcaster in the Czech Republic in 2019, with an average all-day audience share of 29.99%.
Furthermore, according to data produced by ATO-Nielsen Admosphere and quoted by CT, its first channel CT1 saw continued growth in popularity, with programmes attracting the most viewers during the day in what were the best results since 2013.
CT’s average primetime audience in 2019 was, as in the previous year, over 28%.
Furthermore, in a list of 10 of the most watched programmes last year among all broadcasters in the Czech Republic, CT claimed seven, with the fairy tale The Princess and Half Kingdom attracting 2.67 million viewers, including 366,000 children aged 4-14.
CT notes that last year viewing figures of its programmes shown on catch-up on the internet were measured for the first time, with the series Most! Being the most popular.
It also says that its news-based channel CT24 maintained a steady audience share of 3.94% in 2019.
