BT has introduced a new flexible subscription plan, allowing customers to buy its BT Sport channel a month at a time.
It’s an acknowledgement that a significant section of fans prefer the month-by-month plan of the type proven by streaming services such as Netflix.
The new BT Sport Monthly Pass is available for a monthly £25 with no contract.
Content can then be accessed through the BT Sport App on Apple/Android, online, or through large screens via Sony PlayStation 4, Apple TV, selectd Samsung Smart TVs Xbox One and Chromecast.
Pete Oliver, managing director, marketing for BT’s consumer division, said: “BT Sport Monthly Pass means that customers can sign up on a flexible monthly basis for the first time and make the most of all the fantastic live sport that we have to offer.”
BT has also secured the New Year’s Day package where the broadcaster will all nine matches from the day’s Premier League fixture list.
