T-Mobile Polska has signed a wholesale FTTH agreement with the cable operator Inea.
Under it, the former will gain access to areas in which Inea is building a fibre network as part of the second phase of the POPC digital programme.
Commenting on the development, Andreas Maierhofer, CEO of T-Mobile Polska, said: “A comprehensive range of home services is a strategic direction of T-Mobile’s development, which is why we strongly focus on development in this area. In recent weeks, we have announced cooperation with Amazon, but at the same time we are working on expanding the range of our offer, hence the development of cooperation with other infrastructure partners. We are glad that thanks to the agreement with Inea we will be able to offer services at the highest technical level to subsequent clients”.

Michal Bartkowiak, VP Inea, added: “I am very pleased with the signed contracts. I am convinced that this is just the beginning of a wider cooperation with T-Mobile Polska. Thanks to joint actions, we will contribute to the popularisation of fibre optic technology among customers, as well as enable them access to a wide range of services and the opportunity to choose from among their suppliers. For Inea it is an important step strengthening our position as the leader of open FTTH infrastructure in Poland. We assume that within three years our network will constitute over half of the open fibre optic infrastructure in Poland”.
