The insolvent German TV channel European Originals Television (eoTV) has found an investor who wants to continue the channel.
MV Sendebetriebsgesellschaft UG intends to take over the broadcasting business from the insolvent EO Television GmbH, according to German anti-media concentration commission KEK. At its latest assembly in Berlin, KEK approved the transition.
The new operator is a subsidiary of MV International GmbH, based in Switzerland. The company also holds all shares in German Car TV Programm GmbH, which operates pay-TV channel Motorvision TV.
The majority shareholder of MV International GmbH is indirectly the entrepreneur Paul Bauer-Schlichtegroll.
The advertising-financed free-to-air channel eoTV shows films and series produced in Europe. Insolvency proceedings were opened in May 2019; negotiations with potential investors have been ongoing since then.
