In the highly competitive streaming market, there seems to be a financial limit for German customers.
Users of Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and other streaming services are prepared to spend a maximum of €23 per month on their subscriptions, reports German news magazine Der Spiegel with reference to figures compiled by market research institute GfK.
GfK researcher Christoph Freier told the paper that there would be a cap in consumers’ spending and time budgets.
The average customer currently has around 1.3 streaming subscriptions. 22.1 million people in Germany currently use streaming services. In Q3 2019, the average viewing time was around 33 minutes per day.
