A1 Bulgaria opts for Zappware

December 4, 2019 09.31 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

A1 Bulgaria has launched A1 Xplore TV, an advanced turnkey TV solution powered by Zappware.

The service offers over 220 TV channels, more than 130 of which are available with seven-day catch-up; five 4K channels; on demand content; premium sports; and the A1 Bulgaria channels Max Sport 1,2,3 and 4. It also comes with A1 Xplore TV Go, proving continuity in the overall TV experience.

Commenting on the development, Simeon Donev, senior marketing director of A1 Bulgaria, said: “Our goal is to constantly offer innovative services to our customers to suit their dynamic lifestyle. A1 Xplore TV is not only interactive, but it also intuitively adapts to the viewers’ preferences. As we are constantly striving to provide both quality content and great user experience, accompanied by efficient video content management. That is why we chose Zappware’s innovative solution and we are co-operating on further enhancement of the TV experience of our customers.”

Patrick Vos, CEO of Zappware, added: “We are proud to be a part of the commercial launch of our Nexx 4.0 end-to-end solution with A1 Bulgaria. Powered by Zappware’s SDS Evolution back-office, this Nexx 4.0 User Experience makes it possible to cope with the complex DVB/IPTV/OTT footprint in A1 Bulgaria, therefore offering a unified content experience to the end customers.

“Telecom operators need the right platform to win the battle for HDMI 1. Viewers have a lot of options to consume content. With Nexx 4.0 we ensure the aggregation of all content sources in an intuitive way and help service providers to engage with their consumers and turn them into real fans of the video service.”
