KPN is adding Amazon Prime Video to its Interactive TV menu, making KPN IPTV the first television platform in the Netherlands integrating the service.
Customers who subscribe to or buy Amazon Prime Video can use their account details to access Prime Video directly from the TV menu. KPN will make the service available step by step as of today, also for Telfort and XS4ALL TV customers.
In December, KPN will make the Prime Video app available to all existing iTV customers (with TV receiver models 2260 and 2952). The Prime Video service can also be used in 2020 via KPN’s new TV receiver, launched last October.
“Our customers’ user experience is central and they want easy access to the entertainment and content they find attractive. We are making this possible by adding the Amazon Prime Video application to KPN’s interactive TV menu,” said Stijn Nuijten, responsible for marketing and products at KPN.
“We are always looking for ways to make Amazon Prime Video easily available to our customers,” said Brett Ballbach, director of business development at Amazon Prime Video EU. “It’s great that we can now make it easier for KPN customers to offer our wide selection of films and TV shows via the Prime Video app. Prime-members can enjoy Amazon Originals such as The Grand Tour, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
