Gazprom’s media business has posted a net profit of R2,193 million (€30.9 million) for the first nine months of this year.
Figures published by Gazprombank show that the main contributor to the net profit was Gazprom-Media’s TV interests, as well as film production and distribution.
The media business segment had operating profits of R1,382 billion, while consolidated revenues amounted to R67,164 million.
Non -advertising revenues of the segment grew by 11% to R18,106 million due to an increase in income from the sale of rights by 31% to R10, 342 million.
The latter was achieved through the distribution of thematic sports and Red Media channels, Centre Partnership and NTV and GGPM RTV content.
Ad revenues amounted to R49,058 million, while the Gazprom-Media channels Pyatnitsa and TV3 saw their revenues grow by 10% and 4% respectively.
