The market share of quad play packages has grown steadily in Slovenia since their launch and stood at 40.5% at the end of the second quarter.
At the same time, according to the findings of a report published by the regulator AKOS, the market share of triple-play packages also increased in the quarter to 34.6%, while double play, though become less popular, remained unchanged on Q1 at 10.2%.
Standalone broadband claimed a 9.1% share and converged service that do not include service packages 5.6%.
Meanwhile, IPTV was the most used technology for receiving pay-TV services, with its share increasing to 55.3% in Q2.
Cable fell to 38.4%, DTH remained unchanged on 5.3% and MMDS claimed a 1.1% share.
In other areas, fixed broadband penetration of households increased to 82.1% in Q2.
However, fixed broadband penetration by population remained unchanged from the previous quarter at 32.5%.
