The Euronews Group has struck a deal with the MultiChoice Group to offer Euronews content to millions of households across Sub-Saharan Africa, on the DStv platform.
Euronews’ English language edition was already available on the DStv platform across many countries in East and West Africa, the new deal will now allow this global English language edition of the network to also be distributed to Southern African countries which include Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe. The channel will be available on DStv channel 414 to customers on the DStv Premium, DStv Compact+, DStv Compact and DStv Family packages.
Euronews now reaches 50 million homes on the African continent. From January 2020, advertisers will be able to target the continent with a specific ad window on Euronews.
