Teleste has secured victory in its patent dispute with Technetix.
The UK Patents Court ruled Monday that a patent held by Technetix BV and Technetix Limited, and used in home amplifiers and compact isolators, was invalid and should be revoked.
It frees Teleste to sell its the ASH4P, GISX, and GIZ products.
“Teleste always endeavours to respect the intellectual property rights of others but in these cases we were advised that the rights in question lacked inventive merit and were not worthy of patent protection,” said Teleste CEO Jukka Rinnevaara.
Monday’s decision follows on from a previous ruling by the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (IPEC) in January 2019 in another action brought by Technetix against Teleste alleging infringement of its United Kingdom patent relating to tap banks.
It’s not known whether Technetix will appeal the latest decision.
