The long-running carriage dispute between Orange and Altice has been brought to a close.
The two have signed an agreement for the distribution of of BFMTV, RMC Story, RMC Discovery, BFM Business, BFM Paris, BFM Lyon Métropole and i24News.
In addition to the channels themselves, the agreement extends to extended catch up, alongside Ultra HD and 4K distribution.
The BFM business channel was withdrawn by Orange after the two failed to reach an earlier compromise.
Altice has been trying to argue that its otherwise free-to-air channel was worthy of a fee. But Orange called Altice’s bluff, and when audiences fell it had no choice but to return to the table.
However, the agreement is likely to have been weighted towards the extended services where Altice can deliver added value for paying clients.
