Telefónica ended the third quarter with 4,088,500 pay-TV subscribers in its home market Spain.
Although this was 1.3% up on the same period last year, it was lower than the 4,106,100 total posted three months earlier.
Meanwhile, its broadband total stood at 6,078,300 (-0.5%) in Q3, of which 4,246,900 (+11.1%) were FTTH.
Its convergent IPTV/satellite total amounted to 3,799,000 as of Q3 up 4.8% on the same period last year.
In its latest set of results, the company notes that convergent customers in total grew to 4.7 million, or by 2% year-on-year, to September 30.
Moreover, they generated 41% of service revenues.
Furthermore, the higher quality of the customer base resulted in ARPU growing to €90.6 in the quarter, up 1.7% year-on-year.
Telefónica Group as a whole had revenues of €11,902 million in Q3, up 1.7% reported and 3.4% organic on a year earlier, with Spain accounting for 27% of the total.
Revenues in Spain were 1% up on a year earlier.
