The international version of Russia’s Channel One has launched in Moldova.
According to Accent TV, the service, which is known as Primul in Moldova (The First in Moldova), is distributed via DTT on a frequency it previously used, as well as by cable networks.
Quoting Stanislav Vyzhga, the general director of Telesystem TV, which represents Channel One. The World Wide Web in Moldova, it adds that Primul in Moldova is based on the international channel but also includes local content.
The international version of Channel One was established in 1995 and now reaches over 300 million Russian speakers in 190 countries, including Moldova.
