Gazprom TV expands its global presence

October 31, 2019 07.53 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The content of Gazprom-Media Entertainment TV (GPM RTV) is to be made available in 60 countries.

According to its parent company, this follows an agreement with Vela Digital Media (VDM), which will promote international versions of the TV channels Match! Planeta, TNT-Comedy, TNT4 International, Pyatnitsa International and TV3-International.

Gazprom-Media adds that this is a continuation of GPM RTV’s expansion to foreign markets, promoting its own content, produced by studios in Russia.

GPM RTV rebranded its own OTT platform Premier at the end of the summer, making it available globally.

VDM promotes content in the US, Israel and most European countries and wants to act as a one-stop shop for unique Russian content in the global TV environment.
