Vodafone has no plans to add any more set-top boxes to the three already used by newly-acquired UPC in the Czech Republic.
Speaking to Rozhlas.cz, Quique Vivas, VP CBU Vodafone Czech Republic, added that the company is aiming to launch Vodafone TV in the country next year and its objective is to focus as much as possible on customers and respond to their needs.
Indeed, should a fourth set-top box be required to meet those needs then Vodafone will launch one.
Vivas also said that the company hopes that Vodafone TV will evolve in such a way that UPC customers switch to it themselves.
Furthermore, it does not envisage any forced migration from Horizon without customers being offered something better.
The company also plans to eventually make Vodafone TV available to customers outside the wired network.
