The Russian DTH operator NTV-Plus ended the third quarter with 74,000 paying customers for its OTT service.
This was 34% more than in the second quarter and 54% more than a year earlier.
On a month-by-month basis, growth was 87% higher in Q3 than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, in Q3 the conversion to digital increased and amounted to 37% compared to 26% in Q2.
NTV-Plus notes that it is not necessary to be a subscriber to the DTH service to access its OTT platform.
Konstantin Smirnov, the director of the digital products department at NTV-Plus, said: “Integration with popular VOD libraries, selling movie content using the TVOD scheme and new technical solutions, such as the Watch Now service, make NTV-Plus online TV convenient and attractive, ensuring a sustained growth in the subscriber base.”
NTV-Plus’s OTT service includes seven thematic packages, VOD libraries, catch-up and a system of discounts for monthly and annual subscriptions.
