Sky Deutschland expands OTT service Sky Ticket

October 17, 2019 09.18 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland is adding 13 TV channels and further on-demand content to its OTT platform Sky Ticket.

With the Sky Cinema ticket, customers can now access the additional eight linear TV channels Sky Cinema Hits HD, Sky Cinema Action HD, Sky Cinema Family HD, Sky Cinema Comedy, Sky Cinema Emotion, Sky Cinema Nostalgia, TNT Film HD and Kinowelt TV.

The new channel Sky Cinema Special HD has been part of the line-up since October 1, 2019. The on-demand offering has been expanded with classics from TNT Film and Kinowelt TV such as Platoon, Black Hawk Down, Eraser and After the Sunset.

The Sky Entertainment ticket now provides access to the five additional linear TV channels Sky Krimi HD, E! Entertainment HD, Spiegel TV Wissen, Junior and Cartoon Network. Series and documentaries are also available on demand from all five channels, for example Keeping up with the Kardashians, Parenthood, Baywatch Bondi Beach and Raising Wildilfe.

All new linear TV channels are initially available with Sky Ticket via smartphones and tablets (iOS/Android) as well as via the internet browser and Xbox One.

The subscription prices remain unchanged: Sky Cinema and Sky Entertainment each cost €4.99 in the first month and €9.99 euros per month thereafter. The subscription can be cancelled monthly.
