Two-thirds of Romanians now watch video content online or on the internet.
On average, according to a study commissioned by SES Astra Romania and carried out by Mercury Research in July this year, reports Ziarul Financiar, they view 2.3 hours on weekdays and 2.5 hours at weekends.
The findings of the study, which were presented by Mihai Ursoi, the country manager at SES Video Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova, also show that over 55% of Romanians now have a smart TV in their homes, up from 44% two years ago.
Meanwhile, almost 20% of sets are now capable of receiving 4K services.
The study also shows that daily TV viewing remains high in Romania, amounting to an average of 3.3 hours on weekdays and 3.7 hours at weekends.
