Orion expands OTT service

October 11, 2019 09.03 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Subscribers to the Orion group’s Telekarta Online OTT service in Russia can now access Megogo’s entire video library.

According to Orion, this consists of over 1,000 film titles, series and TV shows, as well as children’s and sports content. Up to 10 new titles appear each day, and movies are offered ad-free in HD and Ultra HD.

It adds that under the terms of an agreement between Orion and Megogo, new subscribers will be offered the first seven days of viewing free, after which they will be required to pay R152 (€2.13) a month.

Telekarta Online was launched by the DTH service Telekarta in 2016 and currently offers 110 channels, the media libraries of some of the largest OTT services (Ivi, Start, Amediateka) and a large selection of children’s content.

According to Elena Yachmennikova, development director of the Orion group of companies, ““The development of our OTT-project Telecard Online is traditionally based on services that integrate harmoniously into the platform and are valuable to the subscriber. Megogo meets these criteria, today they have one of the most diverse and complete media libraries in Runet, which, moreover, is constantly updated. I’m sure that the demanded content of this online cinema, together with the beloved user, the convenient interface of “Telecards Online”, will not leave indifferent our regular subscribers, and will also contribute to the growth of the audience.”
