Netflix comes to Sky Italia this week

October 8, 2019 11.35 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Netflix will be added for Sky Q customers on Wednesday, it has been confirmed.

The two-stage rollout will initially be made available to existing customers purchasing the Entertainment Plus package, before being opened up to new customers from December.

“With this partnership we want to offer our subscribers the chance to see the series and shows they love in a simple and immediate way,” said Francesco Calosso, chief marketing officer, Sky Italia.

In an offer reflecting what’s already available to UK households, the purchase of Entertainment Plus for €15.39 also includes the Netflix Standard plan (viewed both in HD and on 2 screens at the same time, worth €11.99).

Sky Q Platinum customers who can already see Sky on all TVs in the home will instead have the Netflix Premium plan (viewed in 4K and on 4 screens simultaneously, worth €15.99).

“We are very happy to work with Sky and make it easier for Sky customers and Italian families to access the complete Netflix experience,” said Filippo Zuffada, EMEA Partner Marketing Director for Netflix.

The Netflix app will also be added to the NOW TV Smart Stick and NOW TV Box in Italy.

Netflix titles will be listed both under the My Q section and in TV series.
