TF1 and Canal+ Group have agreed to share the rights to the UEFA Women’s Euro 2021.
It follows record audiences for the Women’s World Cup earlier this year.
The UEFA Women’s Euro 2021 will take place in England between July 11 and August 1, 2021.
“Our Group’s commitment to women’s football continues. We are very happy to propose to our subscribers the broadcast of the entire UEFA Women’s Euro 2021. Women’s Football has long been a prominent place in our schedule,” said For Thierry Cheleman, director of sports CANAL + Group. “We had great success with our full broadcast of the Women’s World Cup last summer and we are particularly proud and excited to be able to offer event coverage for the Euros. We believe very strongly in women’s football, and the chances of our Blues during the competition.”
Canal+ will have access to all 31 games for its pay-TV subscribers.
TF1 will screen 14 of the best matches free-to-air, including all matches involving the French national team, five other group matches, two quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the final, taking place at Wembley.
