Tim Werner will become the new CEO of German media company Mainstream Media on October 1, 2019.
The founder and current CEO Gottfried Zmeck will join the supervisory board as its chairman.
Werner has been a member of the executive board of Mainstream Media and COO of Romance TV for eight years. In addition to Werner, Horst Kümmel with responsibility for finance will continue to be a board member, which will then consist of two instead of three members.
“Tim Werner has already made a name for himself in the industry as well as with the shareholders and employees. Therefore, with his appointment, the management of Mainstream Media AG is in trusted hands; he will ensure both continuity and new incentives,” said Zmeck.
“After two decades at the top, I now see the right time for a juvenescence in operational management and my withdrawal from the company, to which I remain closely connected in my new function as chairman of the supervisory board and majority shareholder,” added Zmeck.
Mainstream Media operates the three TV channels Romance TV, Heimatkanal and GoldStar TV.
