The Russian DTH operator Orion has launched HbbTV services on three thematic channels.
Telecom Daily reports that viewers of the channels – Children’s World, Favourite Cinema and World Series, all of which are operated by Mediamart – now have access to an expanded interactive TV guide with detailed information about current and subsequent programmes for the next seven days.
It adds that up until now HbbTV technology in Russia has been used solely by national TV channels.
