Portuguese publishing house Cofina has finalised its agreement to buy Media Capital from Spanish firm Prisa.
It’s paying €255 million for the group behind leading commercial channel Cofina and a string of popular radio stations.
The deal would make Cofina the largest media group in Portugal, but will first need the approval of Portugal’s media regulator.
It already owns tabloid Correio da Manha and business newspaper Jornal de Negocios.
