Roku has announced a new software update that includes an upgrade for its 4K Spotlight channel and new Roku Tips & Tricks channel.
It’s being rolled out to ‘selected models’ over the next few weeks. Roku TV models are expected to receive the update in phases over the coming months.
Among the new inclusions is Roku Zones that gather content within specific genres. The idea is to use the Roku Search function that will then deliver results within the Zones such as Drama Movies & TV Zone or the Superhero Movies Zone.
Simpler navigation comes to the 4K Spotlight channel, which gathers together 4K titles from across the Roku platform.
Separately, Roku is to bring its mid range Roku Premiere model to the UK market.
The device, which supports both 4K and HDR has previously only been available in the United States. It’s priced at £39.
The redesigned Roku Express, offering easy HD streaming and the popular Roku Streaming Stick+ complete the new line-up.
