TF1 CEO Gilles Pélisson has been named as chairman of the supervisory board of French on demand service Salto.
It follows last month’s approval of the TF1-M6-France Télévisions joint venture by the French competition authority.
Pélisson will serve a two-year term.
Operational management of the platform will be in the hands of Thomas Follin, a member of the M6 Executive Committee and previously the general manager of the commercial broadcaster’s digital distribution division.
Salto was confirmed in June this year. It’s expected to launch in the first quarter of 2020.
