Arqiva has developed a virtualised media management service, covering OTT managed head end and VOD processing using Amazon Web Services, to meet the growing trend for multi-channel media businesses to adopt cloud services.
The company will be hosting demos at IBC of the solution produced for A+E Network Germany’s History Channel VOD service. Based on its latest hybrid on-premise/cloud offering, it is the first to feature a completely cloud-contained journey, where content is taken from the online archive, processed packaged and delivered to Amazon Prime without ever having to move offline.
Arqiva will also be hosting live demos of one of the world’s fastest growing and most influential connection TV platforms – Freeview Play. Arqiva recognise the unprecedented rise of viewing via mobile devices, and recently worked with Freeview to launch a first-of-its kinds mobile counterpart, offering the best of live linear and on demand in an easy to use, efficient mobile application.
In addition, Arqiva’s innovations have moved towards the advancement of cloud-based live streaming and the company will be demonstrating its OTT and VOD delivery for events.
