Ultra HD Forum is adding DTS-UHD audio and new case studies to its Guidelines in a new version to be published at IBC 2019.
The additions, which follow recent Plugfest events, will be demonstrated within IBC’s Future Zone.
Visitors will be able to compare the effects of HDR, HFR and different resolutions as well as view a demo of DVB-compliant Dolby Vision. Dutch network operator KPN, together with Harmonic, will provide a technology demonstration of 8K streaming over KPN’s network.
New case studies included within the Guidelines include details of the BBC’s UHD coverage of the 2019 FA Cup.
Also, in a special demonstration on Monday September 16, France-Télévisions will talking about its 8K demonstration of French Open tennis matches.
Ultra HD Forum’s IBC 2019 Masterclass will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, September 14th in the RAI’s Emerald Room featuring contributions from BBC, KPN, France TV, Mediapro, BT and DVB.
