Pluto TV added to Apple devices in UK & German-speaking markets

September 2, 2019 14.43 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Pluto TV is making itself available on Apple TV and mobiles in the UK, Germany and Austria. The micro TV service is also launching in Switzerland for the first time.

Over 30 channels will be available in the German-speaking markets including including Pluto TV Movies, MTV Pluto TV and Pluto TV Sitcoms.

UK viewers will have more than 50 channels available.

Additionally, Pluto TV’s German-speaking offer is available via Sky Ticket and Amazon Fire TV devices, while in the UK, viewers can access via Roku, NowTV, and Fire TV.

“Our goal is to entertain the planet and reach audiences where they are, be it at home on the TV screen or on the go on their mobile device”, said Olivier Jollet, Managing Director Europe, Pluto TV. “Launching on Apple TV and Apple mobile devices in German speaking markets and the UK is the perfect way to do so, since we are now additionally providing our lean-back experience to millions of Apple users. Simply download the app to an Apple device, switch in and enjoy the curated linear programme of Pluto TV.”

Pluto TV has now passed the 18 million monthly user mark.

The Pluto TV app requires iOS 10 or later and is available for Apple TV, iPhones and iPads.
