Three quarters (75.3%) of Turks aged 16-74 now use the internet, according to 2019 Household Information Technology (BT) survey published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜÏK).
Furthermore, almost nine out of ten homes (88.3%) now have access to the internet.
Internet usage among indiviaduals aged 16-74 was up from 72.9% in 2018, while the number of homes with internet access compared to 83.8% the previous year.
All told, 87.9% of Turkish households now access the internet via broadband, up from 82.5% last year.
Nearly half (49.2%) have fixedc connections and 86.9% mobile connections.
