Beeline opts for Kaltura

August 22, 2019 10.44 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Beeline Kazakhstan (Veon) has chosen the Kaltura Cloud TV platform for its newly launched TV service.

With the new service, Beeline Kazakhstan customers can now access premium live channels and a large VOD catalogue on their set-top box, as well as on connected TVs through a single, intuitive user experience. The system also includes an advanced search and recommendation engine and provides end-users with a range of options including subscription-based or transaction-based packages.

Commenting on the development, Dr. Shay David, co-founder, president and general manager, media and telecom at Kaltura, said: “We are extremely excited to support the launch of TV Internet Doma Service for Beeline Kazakhstan. This cutting-edge Cloud TV service is the second opco via our global partnership with Veon Group, and we look forward to many more.

“Beeline Kazakhstan TV Internet Doma Service is among the world’s most advanced TV services. We are proud to enable our telco and media customers to provide tailored TV experiences to every end-user.”

Sergey Leshchenko, director of media department at Beeline Kazakhstan, added: “TV Internet Doma Service is an excellent new way for us to provide our end-users with added value by delivering a new-age TV experience to every user.

“Working with Kaltura, we enjoy the benefits of their unique expertise from working with Tier-1 operators on Cloud TV transformation projects, helping telcos to modernize their legacy pay-TV services quickly and launch new compelling TV experiences for consumers, while reducing time to market and cost.”

Kaltura will be at IBC 2019, Stand2. B41.
